Strawberry Dager

1 Can Coconut Cream (13.66oz)

4 cups strawberries (Fresh or Frozen)

8 Large Canopy Gardens Fresh Basil leaves

1/2 Cup Petroskey Maple Syrup (more or less depending on your desired sweetness and the sweetness of the strawberries used)

Place all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. If using frozen strawberries we recommend thawing them out most of the way first.

Avia came up with this recipe about a week ago and we all agreed this has to be Canopy Gardens signature drink.

If you have never tried adding basil into sweetened drinks before we highly recommend it. We add it to our blueberry lemonade all the time and it adds a great fresh flavor. Who knew it could be such a versatile herb.

Wondering about the name? Avia loves making smoothies and recently learned that one of the types she makes is called a Daiquiri (virgin of course), but one of the times she asked if she could make one she called it a dager instead. I told her that would make a great name for a drink and she should make up her own recipe. With a little bit of input from mom she came up with this drink and quickly we all decided it had to be the first recipe we would feature on our recipe blog.
